The Brooklyn Brawler (Alive)

Steve Lombardi [1961 - Present]

Pro wrestler The Brooklyn Brawler

Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1961, Steve Lombardi embarked on his professional wrestling career in 1983 as a jobber for the WWF. However, it wasn’t until he came under the tutelage of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan in 1989 that Lombardi became The Brooklyn Brawler (a street fighter who wore torn New York Yankees t-shirts and smoked cigars) and began a feud with The Red Rooster (Terry Taylor). The Brooklyn Boomer allied with Heenan against The Red Rooster at WrestleMania V in 1989. In 1996, Lombardi lost to Dwayne Johnson during The Rock’s WWF tryout match. Some of Lombardi’s other personas over the years have included Kim Chee (the masked trainer of Kamala, “The Ugandan Giant”), Doink the Clown, Abe “Knuckleball” Schwartz, the Boston Brawler (switching to Boston Red Sox t-shirts), The Red Knight and Most Violent Player (MVP), among others. Lombardi currently works for WWE as a road agent

To "natureboy": As far as I know, here is the list of guys who played Doink in WWF (and this may be incomplete, because there may have been more): Matt Borne (RIP); Ray Liachelli (aka Sgt. Kreuger in WCW); Steve Keirn (aka Skinner the Alligator Man); and Steve Lombardi.

Lombardi was occasionally Doink. Matt Bourne was usually Doink.
